Perry Yang, Ph.D: Perry’s research, teaching and practice focus on Ecologically Sustainable Design in Urban Settings. Since 2001, he has published extensively in this particular area including refereed journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, reviews and design works. He has been awarded prizes in urban design competitions continuously from 2005. The recent awards include the 1st prize in international competition of the 2009 World Games Park at Kaohsiung City of Taiwan in 2005, a project opened in July 2009 and featured by CNN as an eco-friendly venue.

Nancey Green-Leigh, Ph.D (Faculty Advisor): Nancey specializes in economic development planning with a particular focus on sustainability and redevelopment, and is a national Brownfields Redevelopment expert. She is a former Woodrow Wilson Fellow and Regents Fellow of the University of California and past Vice President of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning. She was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2008. She is the author of over 50 articles and three books.
Richard Dagenhart (Faculty Advisor): Richard has been engaged in urban design teaching, practice and research for the past 35 years in Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta and abroad. He currently teaches urban design seminars and studios while coordinating urban design studies in the Master Science – Urban Design Program and the Urban Design Dual Degree Program. Since 2009, he co-ordinates, with Dr. Perry Yang, the COA International Urban Design Workshop and taught the 2009 and 2010 workshops in Shanghai.
